Here are the messages from Bryant Montessori for this week.

Calendar items

• Monday, January 5^th school resumes.
• School Tours. If you know someone who is interested in having their child attend Bryant Montessori, encourage them to join one of our school tours. Each Tuesday in January, I take groups of families on a tour of the school. Encourage prospective parents to call our office for the details on the times since they vary per week.
• No School on Monday, January 19^th in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
• Jump Rope for Health: February 15-March 15. More to come in January.
• Thursday, February 19 from 5:30-7: Bryant Literacy Night.

Read-a-thon. In December, your student brought home a Read-A-Thon packet. This launched a fundraiser that both promotes literacy and creates an opportunity to raise much-needed funds to support enrichment opportunities and resources such as field trips, and the purchase of art, science, and Montessori materials. The Read-A-Thon began on December 11 and ends on January 30^th.

We have an open School Board position; apply by Jan. 15

Administration building renovations, temporary locations starting in January

The historic Central Administration Building is getting some much-needed improvements starting in January 2026. 

During the CAB renovation, several Tacoma Public Schools departments will relocate to temporary sites. Beginning Jan. 5, departments will be available and open to the public at the former McKinley Elementary and the Professional Development Center (PDC).

Beyond the Bell, Club B registration opens soon

Our school is offering some really great after school programs that will open for registration soon.  

Mark your calendar:

• Registration runs Jan. 12 – 25 for elementary/Beyond the Bell and middle school/Club B students on a staggered schedule by school name.
• Session 3 dates: Feb. 9 – April 3
