Good Evening, Bryant Families,
Here are the messages from Bryant for this week.
Powerful Performance. On Friday, Lower El through Middle School students attended 11 Days in the Life of Dr. King. It was a superb performance. Ask your child about it. You might ask:
- What days stood out to you?
- What was the 11th day?
- What are you going to do to help our school community be more inclusive?
Spring Track & Field (Grades 3–5)
Bryant is seeking a parent or community member to coach a spring track and field team (mid-April–mid-June). Mrs. Bedient will support as an advisor. Interested? Email rbedien@tacoma.k12.wa.us.
Emergency response protocols? Periodically, it can be helpful to speak to our safety protocols. We practice various scenarios that include responses to unwelcome people outside and inside the school. Teachers and students at Bryant take safety very seriously. Students are taught never to open an exterior door for anyone. All guests must come through the main entrance, over which we have control. We plan, coordinate, communicate, and practice. We are prepared to ensure the safety of all of our students and families on site. If you have questions about this, please talk to Kathryn or me at the gate.
ASB selling Palentines. February 4th – 10th. $1.00 each. They will be delivered to students in their classrooms on February 12th. ASB students will sell from a cart in the playground after school, as well as coming around to classrooms in the morning to sell to students who have brought money. They will also be collecting completed Palentines at those times.
For middle school students the Palentines will also be sold in the cafeteria in the mornings.
