Here are the messages from Bryant for this week.

Calendar Items

  • PTO Mtg. BNC Tues., 9/30 at 6pm
  • Garden Work Party: Sat., 10/4 9-12
  • Vision & Hearing Screenings for K-3, 5th, and 7th graders: Mon., 10/6
  • Walk & Roll to School Day Fri., 10/10
  • No School for students: Mon., 10/13
  • 11:55 dismissal for conferences: Tues., Thurs., & Fri., 10/14, 16, & 17; NOT Wed., 10/15!
  • Late start but 3:10 dismissal: Wed., 10/15
  • American Montessori Society Regional Symposium comes to Bryant. Sat., 10/18

Before School Orchestra Class

The program is open to all students with any prior music knowledge/ classes. Ideally, students that took music in 5th grade at Hilltop and want to continue playing into high school; however, younger students with experience are welcome. Since parents need to pay out of pocket, the more students the less it will be per student. See details here.

Recess Running Club – Parent Volunteer Needed!

Mrs. Bedient is looking for a parent volunteer to help lead our Lower El Recess Running Club this year, beginning in October. The time commitment is just once per week from 12:10–12:40 p.m. If you’re interested, please contact Mrs. Bedient.

Middle School Camp meds. Any left over meds, pill bottles: please see nurse Shewan by Tuesday, or they will be discarded.

PTO News

  • The first general PTO meeting is Tues., 9/30 at 6 at the BNC, 1619 6th Ave. Join us as there are many exciting events that are coming up. Pizza to be served.
  • We are collecting old cell phones and tablets, any condition, even broken.
  • We are collecting used sneakers, all for reuse and recycling. Bring them to the PTO meeting or drop them off the Mr. Mitchell at the gate at morning drop off.
  • Huge shout out to Kendall Hollis, Renelle Martin, Holly Renner and Scott Streeper for their help in popping corn all morning for the school to enjoy. Over 500 Bags of Popcorn were made
  • October is spirit wear watch for more information next Sunday in the Buzz.

Free youth ORCA cards available 

Anyone 18 and younger can ride free on regional transit. They can use a Youth ORCA card (also known as a Free Youth Transit Pass) when they ride or show their student ID to the driver as they board. Get more information here: Youth Ride Free - myORCA
