Mark your calendars—Bryant students will break ground on their new building May 10, marking the beginning of a new era. A group of students will dig in and turn some dirt, officially breaking ground on their new school during this celebration.

The ceremony will be short and largely symbolic, allowing Bryant to celebrate the beginning of construction of their new school. Students, staff, parents and neighbors will gather on site at 717 S. Grant Ave., starting at 8 a.m. and hold the short ceremony from 8:30-9 a.m. The celebration will be outside – rain or shine – all are welcome. We are running a LIVE virtual event on Facebook at 8:30 a.m. and would love for you to join us in person or online. Plans for the new site
The Bryant project will include on-site and off-site improvements, parking, new playgrounds and playfields. The new Bryant will be designed for about 560 students. Bryant will continue to serve as a Montessori school serving students K-8.

Bryant is one of eight school replacements or historic renovations funded by the $535 million school construction bond voters passed in 2020.

Bryant’s staff and students continue to use the west end swing site at 2301 N. Mildred as their new school is built.

Project timeline:

• October – December 2022: Abatement and demolition of existing buildings
• March 2023: Grading, footings and foundation
• May 2023 – August 2024: Construction
• January - June 2024: Street and on/off-site improvements
• September 2024: School expected to open
